Housing for Current & Returning Students

Please remember that first-year students are required to live on campus for their second year. We guarantee space in our residence halls for all current first-year students going into their second year.

Housing for 2026-27

For the 2026-27 academic year, we will be offering a couple different processes:

  • Current 2025-26 first-year students are required to live on campus as part of the Two-Year On-Campus Living Requirement. More information on the timeline and re-application process will be communicated in early February 2026.
    • By February 2 - Application will be live in the Housing Portal
    • During February – Attend information sessions regarding housing selection and tours of options for second-year housing
    • By March 2 - Finalize re-application including:
      • Review the Student Residence Agreement and electronically sign that you have read it.
      • Review and preference any . This is not required, but an option for those interested.
      • Review and preference . Approximately 30% of our beds are in single rooms with 70% of second-year students assigned to shared bedspaces in suites and apartments. If your primary preference is a single room, you will be able to indicate this on your application but also please have a second and third preference in a different style as that is more likely.
      • Indicate roommate requests. This is not required, but an option for those interested.
        • If interested, we recommend groups of two (you + 1 other student) as it is more likely for you to be assigned together. The larger your group, the more limited options may be; groups could be up to 8 for a Frey suite together.
      • Identify any medical or disability housing accommodation needs and submit required supporting documentation to Disability Resources
    • Mid to Late March – Residence Life runs the housing assignment process
    • Early to Mid April – Room switch request form is available for students to indicate if they want to be considered for a room switch from where they were assigned
  • Current Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors, NOT required to live on campus as part of the Two-Year On-Campus Living Requirement will have an opportunity to apply to live on-campus. Limited bedspaces will be available and more information on the timeline and re-application process will be communicated in early February 2026.
    • By February 2 - Application will be live in the Housing Portal
    • By March 2 - Finalize re-application for the priority assignment process including:
      • Review the Student Residence Agreement and electronically sign that you have read it.
      • Review and preference .
      • Indicate roommate requests. This is not required, but an option for those interested.
      • Identify any medical or disability housing accommodation need and submit required supporting documentation to Disability Resources.
    • Mid to Late March – Residence Life runs the housing assignment process for those who met the March 2 priority deadline.
    • Students can continue to submit housing applications beyond March 2. Assignments will be made based on availability. If no housing available, students will be on a waitlist until something becomes available that aligns with indicated preferences.
  • Students who are planning on studying abroad Fall 2026 will be able to apply for Spring 2027 housing in the housing portal when the application becomes available and should not participate in the above processes. Remember second-year students are required to live on campus as part of the Two-Year On-Campus Living Requirement.
